Competent Adviser was launched in the summer of 2003, based around ideas that had been in development over a number of years.
The objective was to provide the mortgage professional of today with the tools they required to demonstrate their ongoing
competency in the role.
This required us to develop a system that encompassed every aspect of the mortgage sales process and included
everything from complying with initial disclosure requirements through to how to demonstrate you were treating
customers fairly whilst at the same time making it easy for everyone from the experienced mortgage principal to
the newest recruit to update and improve their knowledge. No mean feat!
Along with that we wanted to provide our corporate users with in-depth management information enabling them to quickly
identify and address training issues on a company wide basis ensuring their staff were constantly enhancing and
improving the knowledge required to do their role effectively.
Today, with almost 5000 users dependent on our system, we remain committed
to constantly looking at ways we can enhance and update the learning
experience with a team of industry professionals and IT experts dedicated to
