As a new user you will be required to sit a 100 question multi choice test, designed to test your understanding of all aspects of mortgage advice and practice. Based on these results Competent Adviser will create a bespoke, fully automated continuous professional development (CPD) programme specifically designed to address your individual areas of weakness through a combination of 'required reading' and self assessment tests.

This fully automated CPD programme will direct you, via a 'required reading' list to read specific sections within our Knowledge Zone and then test you on your competency via a series of online tests. As soon as you have passed a section test and demonstrated your competency at an agreed level, this section will automatically be removed from your reading list but will remain as part of your audit trail for subsequent enquiry and reporting.

Your individual Supervisor will have the ability to check and monitor your progress, create and assign tests and identify specific required reading to any user at any time. Along with this, whenever your organisation launches a new product or makes a change in company procedures your Supervisor will be able to demonstrate, via our audit trail facility, that you are fully competent to offer advice within these areas.

To assist you in your development, all of our tests work on an on-line multiple choice basis, and provide you with immediate results. If you get an answer wrong, we will provide you with helpful feedback, highlighting where you have gone wrong and providing you with the knowledge required to ensure success next time around.

Furthermore, to assist you develop and assess your knowledge on an on-going basis, our system monitors and controls the number of times you are presented with a particular question to ensure that you are given the widest possible range of questions within each section.

As part of our goal of providing your Supervisor with the ideal compliance and monitoring tool, we have provided them with the ability to create and assign bespoke tests to you as an individual or, if testing you with a group of your peers, as part of a group, thereby enabling them to assess your development on an on-going basis.

And finally, for those of you involved in recruitment, we believe the Testing Zone is the ideal tool for use in the recruitment process. New applicants can sit the initial on-line examination either prior to the interview itself or as part of the interview process. You are then able to confirm their current level of knowledge and identify any areas of weakness - should they be successful in their applications and subsequently join your organisation, their results can be carried across into their T&C record and online CPD programme.
